These young red foxes looked more like sparring siblings than fierce predators as they chased, wrestled and playfully pounced on one another in northeastern France. Photographer Eddy Wegrzyn captured the lively scenes in the Meuse region after stumbling across the trio at the edge of a small village.
The youngsters stayed out in the open for several minutes, constantly darting around and tumbling through the grass in what appeared to be a friendly play fight, giving Wegrzyn a rare wildlife encounter he says he has never witnessed again.
