Lemurs look like they’re attending sunrise yoga class in Madagascar

These ring tailed lemurs looked more ready for a calming yoga retreat than a morning in the wild after being spotted sitting upright in perfect poses across a dusty track in Madagascar.

Wildlife photographer Burkhard Ley captured the amusing scenes at Berenty Reserve in southern Madagascar shortly after sunrise, where the troop had gathered to warm themselves in the first rays of sunlight. Burkhard said seeing the animals lined up “like tiny humans” felt both surreal and hilarious, while a hidden baby lemur briefly peeked out from beneath its mother later that morning after nearly 30 minutes of waiting.
