Photographer Anna Stelloo captured this adorable young eagle owl during a visit to a small village in Germany, where the rare birds nest around a church. At around seven weeks old, the fluffy youngster was still learning to fly and spent much of its time on the ground, giving the impression it had swapped flying lessons for an afternoon stroll. Despite venturing out alone, the tiny owlet was never far from safety, with both parents keeping a close eye on their youngest chick as it explored the world beyond the nest.
